Burnout isn’t a personal failure — it’s a workplace issue with proven solutions. This course gives you the research-backed foundation to recognize burnout clearly, understand what’s actually causing it, and see why fixing it requires more than “trying harder.”
What You’ll Learn
You’ll discover the three core dimensions of burnout — emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and reduced sense of accomplishment — and why they’re different from ordinary stress, fatigue, or depression. You’ll identify which of six research-backed causes are showing up in your own work environment, whether it’s workload, lack of control, insufficient reward, breakdown of community, absence of fairness, or values mismatch. Most importantly, you’ll walk away understanding burnout as a systems issue, not individual weakness, setting the foundation for everything that follows.
How It Works
This course delivers 3 concise lessons — each combining short videos, real workplace scenarios, and a knowledge check — designed to take about 30-40 minutes total. You’ll finish with a hands-on reflection exercise: a written commitment identifying one insight, one action, and one systemic factor from your own workplace.
Who This Is For
This course is for professionals noticing early signs of burnout, leaders who want to understand it clearly before addressing it in their teams, and anyone who wants a research-backed (not self-help) starting point before diving into prevention strategies.
